Replacement Brake Assembly, Bearings, Races, and Seal for Old Trailer Axle

Question:

Hi Team so i have the following trailer see picture. i would like to get electronic brakes for it. i would like to replace the hub/drum and the brake assemblies but not the axle and not the wheels. the axle is about 2 1/8 in diameter and has a 5 bolt pattern to mount the brake assembly the bolts are spaced ~ 2 1/16 im assuming thats standard. the spindle has following measurements measured on the spindle Inner bearing ~1.5 in Outer bearing ~ 15/16 in. 0.9375 bower 1779 Inner grease seal ~ 1 7/8 1.875 trestle 300-156-6F outer grease seal is a plate on the nut thread my current brake assembly is 12 in from brake pad to brake pad but the pads are only 1 6/8 in deep. the hub/drum has 6 on 5-1/2 lug nut pattern. the lug nut pattern i would very much like to keep so i can keep my 16in wheels the trailer is rated for 3000 lbs on paper but is way beefier so i dont know if a 10in assembly would be enough. but i have not found one that mounts on 5 bolts.

Based on the bolt pattern and the brake flange on your axle, you will want to start with the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. Then for your hub drums I recommend reusing your current hubs as we don't have a suitable replacement and using bearings # 2788 and # 1779. Then for a seal I believe # 29031 is the correct fit. If you want to replace the races inside the hub use # 2729 and # 1729 along with the installation tool # PTW83020.
