Do I need brake relay when using EVEN BRAKE 9400? What wiring kit is needed for lights?

The Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System part # RM-9400 comes with the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-88400 so you won't have to purchase this separately. That said, the relay doesn't need to be installed on all vehicles. The 2000 Jeep TJ however is one that requires it.

In regards to the tail light wiring, the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System part # TR118821 is a great option that works on any vehicle.
