Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System for Trailer that Has Brakes with 6 Bolt Hubs

Question:

Afternoon, I have a military trailer to be precise an M105A2 and I have already gotten rid of a lot of weight, the next project is the axle and the wheels. My ultimate goal is to have a semi off road camper/trailer maybe with a tent on the roof and to use the bed of the trailer to haul gear so Im not talking that much weight. I would really like to wheels that are the same bolt pattern as my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser so that I only have to carry 1 spare tire. Now for the interesting thing, do you believe that Axle-less suspension system would work on my trailer and if it does would you recommend which one I should be looking more at. I would like to have electronic brakes and the ability to run off road tires with a 6 bolt Toyota pattern and I think Ill need at least 4inch lift. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Toyota 6 lug bolt pattern is the same 6 bolt pattern that trailers use of 6 on 5.5 inch so what you wanting to accomplish with a Timbren Axle Less setup is possible. The part # ASR3500S06 is the best option as it has a 4 inch lift built into it. For hub/drums you'd want the part # 84656UC3-EZ and then for brake assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA would be what you'd need for both sides of the trailer and you'd be set.
