Parts Needed to Convert Boat Trailer with 6 Lug Hubs to Electric Brakes
Question:
Im restoring a boat trailer that has 6 bolt 14inch diameter surge brakes on both axles. I would like to switch to electric brakes. do you have a product that will fit? I would buy new drums as well.

Based on the drum size and bolt pattern of the drums that you have now the correct brake assemblies you want to convert your trailer to electric brakes would be the part # AKEBRK-7R-SA and # AKEBRK-7L-SA and then for new hubs # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K and then you'd be set. These hubs are pre-greased too which means a less messy install.
To wire up the brakes you'll want to use 10 gauge wire which we sell by the foot as part number # 10-1-1.
