Gooseneck or 5th Wheel Recommendation for Towing Heavy Loads

Question:

i am starting a new transpotation buisness and would like your opinion on which way too go ...whether it be the gooseneck or the 5th wheel.....keep in mind that insome instances i will be riding HEAVY and i would think that this would also be a consideration in this decision..thank you very much for your time and expertise......

Typically gooseneck hitches will have higher capacities than 5th wheel hitches. So if you plan on towing pretty heavy that would be what I would recommend. Most of the time the gooseneck hitches will have a 30,000 lb capacity. You will need to make sure you do not exceed the capacity of your tow vehicle though as every tow setup is limited by the lowest rated component in the setup.
