Installation of Thule HideAway Awning Adapter
Question:
The installation instructions are very vague. How far apart do we space these adapters on my 2001 VW T4 weekender lift roof for a 8.5ft hideaway awning? Also, can we use a rubber gasket between the adapter and the van? I’m likely going to install with rivnuts for more secure installation.

The Thule HideAway Awning Adapter for VW Van with Lift Roof # TH307887 will have installation locations determined by the awning itself. I've attached a basic photo of the instructions to assist. You can use the rivnuts you referenced and you can use a rubber gasket as desired. I recommend using sealant around the holes for sure.
