Will The Tailgate Of A Honda Pilot Clear Bikes On A Tilted Down Hollywood Racks SportRider SE4?

I have a 2019 Honda Pilot EX-L, and am interested in the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 Item # HR1400Z. I am wondering if you can answer whether or not the tailgate on my Pilot will have enough clearance to open fully when bikes are on the rack, and the rack is tilted down. Any information you can share will be appreciated. Thank you!

After reviewing some of our test fit videos of the Hollywood Racks SE2 # HR1450Z, I've found that there is plenty of room on both a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and 2017 Subaru Outback. These are both mid size suvs like your 2019 Honda Pilot. The SE2 will have the same clearance as the SE 4 because the cradle closest to your rear hatch is the same. The SE4 # HR1400Z just has an extra 2 bikes on the back.

I cannot say for sure that you will not have issues opening your rear hatch when bikes are installed, but based off similar vehicles, you should be fine. Plan on putting the bike with the shortest width closest to your vehicle.
