The Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Brackets for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56016 is not a fit for your 2001 Ram 2500. This kit is only a fit for 2011-2016 model years of Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks.
For your 2001 Ram 2500 I recommend using the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035 as there isn't a custom bracket kit available. If you already have the base rails then you will need the brackets and hardware # RP30439.
