Can You Use a Brake hub Rated For 4400 lbs On A 4000 lb Axle.

Question:

I have a 2017 Rockwood 2606ws travel trailer with Dexter Axles. The axles are 4000 pound. I did not see this brake rated for 4000 pounds specifically. I assume I can use this part which is rated at 4400 pounds?

As long as your hub fits a 10-1/2 drum and the bolt size and bolt pattern to mount the hub to the axle matches, there should be no reason why the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 4.4K Item # K23-478-479 wouldn't work.
