Recommended Bike Rack for Two 40 lb E-Bikes on Travel Trailer

Question:

I have two 40 lb E-Bikes. Im looking at a 13foot Scamp trailer that has a welded receiver on the back rated to 200 lbs. Is the Thule Range 4 Bike Rack my best bet? It says it holds 4 bikes at 37 lbs each. Will it work for two 40 lb bikes? The bikes are Specialized Como Turbos Low Entry. How would I load Low Entry girl bikesinch on this rack? Is this a bad idea? Will my bikes still be there when I arrive? Towing with a Subaru Outback. Do you have a better idea? Thanks

There isn't a Thule bike rack that is rated for travel trailer use. I recommend the Swagman E-Spec 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Rack Mount # S94FR. This is rated for travel trailer use and can hold bikes up to 70 lbs each. The bike rack weighs 60 lbs, so the two 40 lbs bikes will keep you within the limits of the hitch receiver as well. I've attached a video to assist.

I am looking at the swagman escapee as you suggested. One of the bike has fenders and a "pizza box" front rack. Is there s way to make that work?

You're either going to have to remove the fender and "pizza box" front rack or use a different bike rack like the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR which secures bikes by their frame.
