Can a Trailer Tire be Ran at Lower PSI than Max Pressure Rating

Question:

I have a stock 225/75R15 load range E tire that received sidewall damage and leaks air in two places. Possibly from a sharp stone or stick on a logging road. Is it ok to upgrade the load range of the the tire even though the other side is still a Load range D? The stock tires are less than a year old with less than 150 miles on them so I dont replace the good tire.

One of the great things about the Goodyear Endurance trailer tires like the # 724861519 you referenced is that its one of few trailer tires that can be ran at a lower psi than its max rating. So what this allows is you to run your Load Range D tire at it's max psi and then lower the psi of the Endurance to match so that you have equal pressure in both.
