How to Choose Correct Slide-Out Slide Topper

Can slide toppers be oversized? Say 6-8inch past the flanges. Will the hardware accomodate this for extra protection?

Expert Reply:
Slide toppers cannot be over sized, they do need to be the correct size. In order to find the right one all you need to do is measure your slide-out from outside of one flange to the outside of the opposite flange.
For example, if you took that measurement and it was 76 inches you would need the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000163285.
Or if that measurement was 132 inches you would need the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000184673.
