Extra Length of Chain for Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains on 2015 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2015 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Off-Road with P265/70R16 tires. My kids gave me a set of chains #TC2228CAM for Christmas and I finally tried them on. They seem to overlap by quite a bit - nearly doubling up on a cross chain. Am I supposed to be required to cut off all the extra, and, if so, can you tell me just how to determine where to cut to properly fit? And do I just shorten the side chains, or also remove the extra cross chain?

The Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains with Cams # TC2228CAM that fit your 2015 Toyota Tacoma with 265/70R16 tires can have some extra chain, and there are a couple of ways to deal with it.
According to Titan, you can tie it off, or you can cut the extra length off if you like. I recommend leaving an extra link or two, securing those with a tie and cutting off the rest, just to be sure you have a little extra slack. I also recommend using adjusters for the tightest fit, the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2.
I've added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
