Recommendation for Bike Frame Adapter Bar

Question:

I would like to get a recommendation on bike frame adapter bar for 2 20inch kids bikes one BMX style and the other womens style and a 26inch womens bike. The length from outer side of the seat post to the outer side of the handlebar stem for the bikes are measured approximately 18.5, 20.5inch and 21.5. I have checked out the Thule TH982XT, Swagman 64005 and Hollywood Racks HRBA-PRO. From what I understood, out of these 3, only the Hollywood Racks one works for the bikes with shorter gap between the seat post and the handlebar stem. I would appreciate if any recommendations, including a relative quality, out of these or any other similar adapter bar that would fit my bikes. Thanks!

With the ability to adjust both the Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT and the Hollywood Racks # HRBA-PRO will fit all three of your bikes. The Swagman Deluxe Bike Adapter Bar # 64005 does not work with all of your bikes because it doesn't collapse small enough for some kids bikes.

The Thule ranges from 16" to 31-1/2" and the Hollywood Racks ranges from 15-13/64" to 28-13/16". I think both are about the same when it comes to quality. I like the rubber coated hooks on the Thule compared to the plastic that Hollywood Racks has. Hollywood Racks has a smaller hook to keep bikes from moving which is a really nice touch.

When deciding between the two of them I think it comes down to look/color and brand preference. They both function the same way and are of similar quality. I personally grab the Thule more often mainly because I use Thule bike racks more often than Hollywood Racks. Either way they both will help you get your bikes loaded on your bike rack.
