Reducing Front End Sway on 2020 Jayco Greyhawk E450 Motor Home When Pulling A 2015 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
I have the Roadmaster 676 and the removable base plates on my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. I am flat towing this behind my 2020 Jayco Class C Greyhawk motorhome. When I am pulling the truck, it causes my motorhome steering to move right to left on the highway - I am constantly adjusting. Is there a way to stabilize this so I dont get that back and forth fight? The motorhome tracks perfectly at all speeds without the tow vehicle. Thanks

To reduce the front end movement on you 2020 Jayco Greyhawk E450 motor home pulling a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 I recommend the following:
Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Item # RM-1139-189
Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Item # RM-1139-147
SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Front Axle Item # SSF-106-40
Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer w/ Custom Brackets # RM47MR
The springs help your suspension support the weight from the truck by keeping the RV up level. The sway bars reduce sway caused by crosswinds and towing. Sway occurs when a trailer/vehicle is being towed behind another vehicle. The vehicle being towed moves off center. As it moves off center it pulls on the ball/receiver. This causes that corner of the towing vehicle to drop. By the time the suspension can react to push that corner of the towing vehicle back up it too late the vehicle being towed is already too far off center. Because the vehicle being towed is now too far off center, as the suspension pushes that side of the RV back up it is also pushing the vehicle being towed over to the other side. This is where sway occurs and you are getting the front end movement.
The steering stabilizer reduces the play in the steering wheel so you are not fighting to keep the RV centered on the road. As your RV wants to move from one side to the other the steering stabilizer shock and spring counter act this movement so your vehicle stays centered.
