Weight Distribution Shank with 2 Inch Drop for a Pro Series Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have to replace the shank for my cequent pro series 49903 weight distributing hitch system. Is this compatible. I need about a 2 inch drop, my current shank provided by the shop not part of the original setup has a minimum drop of 6 inches. I am switching from a 2007 Yukon Denali to a 2003 expedition for the tow vehicle. Otherwise, is it possible to just purchase the original shank for the PS49583?

You can use the shank # RP63971 for Pro Series weight distribution system # PS49583. For a round bar system like you have the drop will be 6-1/2 inches max from the top of the receiver tube opening. This shank is the one included with the Pro Series system.
If you wanted to go with 2 inches drop then use shank # RP54970 which is the shank included in many Reese weight distribution systems but not the Pro Series system.
