BK Light on Curt 7 Way Connector with Tester Lights Always on with Curt Spectrum Brake Controller
Question:
2013 Toyota Sienna xle. I have a spectrum 51170 brake controller installed along with the Curt 57674 dual output 7- way. Is there a reason why the bk light on the 7 spin stay on dimly lit? And will it affect or drain my battery? Thank you

Since you are using the Curt Spectrum # C51170, which is a proportional brake controller, there will always be a very small voltage from the controller sent to the 7-way connector. This is because the controller is always checking to see if a trailer is connected.
The current draw from an LED is quite small (a tiny fraction of an amp) so this does not pose any concerns for battery drain. Your Curt # C57674 7-way is supposed to function in this manner.
