What do you Recommend for Carrying 4 Bikes on a 2020 Subaru Forester
Question:
Hi, I have a 2020 Subaru Forester with a class I hitch. Looks like while the TH934XTR will fit, its not recommended for mItem # TH934XTRore than 2 bikes. Is there anything which will carry 4 bikes on a class I hitch?

I ave a couple of solutions but the Class I hitches are all rated for only 2 bikes. Of the solutions my favorite is to remove the Class I and add a Class 3 hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13409. You can then use the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR.
The other option would be to use the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR and adding two roof mounted bike racks like the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack part # TH598004. Which will get you to 4 bikes.
The reason I like the first is because using a Class 3 will also open up the option to use cargo carriers and other hitch mounted accessories up to your vehicles potential. You will have to check your owner;s manual but I believe your tongue weight rating is around 350 lbs. and the current Class I hitch only allows you to get to 200 lbs.
I've linked videos on the racks and the installation of the hitch for you to check out.
