Yes, I checked with Thule and the Passage 2 # TH910XT will fit your 2012 BMW 328i Convertible. I have included a link to a video review of the rack for you.
If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes I recommend using the tube top adapter bar, # Y02531, for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. I have included a video link showing how the adapter works.
Always make sure that the bike rack and vehicle are clean to avoid scratching the vehicle.
