Are Longer Shackle Straps Needed for Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers

Question:

I am interested in upgrading my trailer suspension I have changed it al ready ounce to the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle Item # 013-143-03 But I do not feel it it is quite right. I would like to upgrade to the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 3K to 6K Item # LC279687 The question is , do I need to change the straps. Included is a picture and all dimensions I am working with Current dimensions of Suspension See Picture Strap/Spring width 1-15/16 Axle Spacing 33 Dex Axle Info Weight 3500 ea Dia 2.238 Hub 89 Trailer Weekend Warrior FK 1900 Super Lite Len/Wid 23x8 ft CVWR 7650 lb

Thank you so much for the photo with the dimensions it was very helpful. And based on the measurements you gave, I do recommend using slightly longer shackle straps with the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687.

What I recommend is the 2-5/8" Long Replacement Shackle Strap # 115052.
