Trouble Installing Female Bike and Anti-Rattle Pin for Reese Explore 4 Bike Rack

Question:

I finally used my Reese Explore 4 Bike Rack for 2inch Hitches - Tilting and noticed my female bike can not sit correctly on the rack. Also, When i tightened the bolt with a wrench I was unable to push the pin in the rack to the hitch. Do you have a video of someone entering the pin or have reports that it was challenging to enter the pin in after tightening the bolt?

Since your female bike doesn't have a horizontal top tube you want to use an adapter bar like part # 64005 which installs on your seat post and handlebar post so that you have a makeshift horizontal top tube and your wheels will then be hanging down like they are supposed to be.

When it comes to the anti-rattle bolt, you might have trouble installing it if you have something in the way like a plate on the receiver. I tried installing this type of anti-rattle bolt on a factory Toyota Tacoma hitch and I had to loosen the bolt up just a tad so that it would be in a different orientation so that I could fit the pin in. You might need to do that to get it to fit.

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get the pin to fit so if you don't have anything in the way then it's just a matter of figuring out the best way to install and remove the pin for your application on the Reese Explore # 63124.
