Can Pin Box with Air Cushioning Air Bag Provide Additional Clearance if Inflated Further

Question:

Hi, Can the Flex Air or any other 5th pin box be set up to provide a little temporary lift ? Box clearance is the issue since we take our 5th wheel to the mountains and have to be careful and, in fact, are limited in choices when getting off the main road to get to the location where we want to set up. If it is possible to have a setup that would lift the nose of the trailer for the short distances that involved would be a better option than permanently raising the hitch in the truck. Thank you

If you inflated the air bags of the pin box to a higher psi you would get a couple inches of height most likely but that's not really what they were intended to do. In just a short term situation to get through an elevation change I am sure you'd be fine but we can't guarantee totally that it would give you all of the clearance you'd need.
