Wiring Adapter to Install Redarc Tow Pro Elite Brake Controller in 2017 Lexus GX460
Question:
Can you confirm if this is the correct pigtail for a 2016 Lexus GX460 Luxury with factory tow package? This SUV is based off the 4Runner so I would think this is the correct pigtail but there is also the THP-015 for Toyotas as well. Mine has the white female connector next to the Emergency brake. Looking to install the Redarc tow pro elite in this vehicle. Thanks!!!

To install the Redarc # RED44FR Tow Pro Elite in your 2016 Lexus GX460, you'd need the # 3040-P brake controller wiring pigtail and # 331-TPH-017. The # 3040-P plugs into the factory brake controller port, and then the # 331-TPH-017 plugs in-between that harness and the controller. You are absolutely correct, the factory brake controller connector is located right next to the e-brake.
For those that don't care to have the typical brake controller box installed on the underside of the dashboard, the Tow Pro Elite is definitely the way to go. The control knob can be mounted just about anywhere, as long as it's within the reach of the driver.
