Curt Echo Won't Power On Using 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler With Mopar Trailer Wiring Harness
Question:
So i installed the Mopar Trailer wiring harness with the 7 pin connector. All my lights work signals and when I plug directly to the trailer, the lights also work. But, when I plug in the 51180 it doesnt seem to get power for me to turn on the brake controller. Thus I cant even program it coz there is no power going through it. Can you help? Doesnt make sense to me that the trailer without the brake controller works when plugged into the Jeep but when I plug in the Curt 51180 it no power goes to the Unit. I thought perhaps i had a defective Unit. But I plugged it into another 7 pin connection and the blue pairing light went on so it isnt the unit. Please help as I have a trip coming up.

The Curt Echo part # C51180 has no correlation with the trailer lights. I don't know much about the Mopar Trailer Wiring Harness as it is not one we carry but what I can tell you is that it more than likely isn't fully hooked up. By this, I mean the battery trailer charge line is most likely not run. Therefore, you'd need the Battery Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-75 running one end to the battery and the other to the trailer connector.
