Replacement Submersible Tail Lights for a Shorelander Boat Trailer

Question:

I want to replace tail lights on a shorelander boat trailer. Trailer under 80 inches wide. Need Stop, Turn, Tail and Sidemarker functionality. Want submersable. I dont understand Right Side 6 function / Left Side 7 function, Rear Reflex, Side Reflex. Correct dimension is that listed for your STL56RB. Will your over 80inch lights work whether incandescent or LED? Would 2 right side lights work seeing I dont require all the functionality anyway?

First, the additional function is a license plate light. If your license plate is mounted and/or illuminated elsewhere then you could use 2 right side lights.

When replacing trailer lights it is best to go with all LEDs or all incandescents. Mixing the types can result in lights not working or overdraw on the LEDs. Otherwise you can use either one.

The dimensions, 6-1/16 inches long x 3-5/8 inches wide x 2-1/4 inches deep, for # STL56RB are correct. Rear reflex means that the lens also has reflectors on the face of it and side reflex means that the sides also have reflectors. This is a submersible light which means it has drainage holes so water can get out.

These lights have stop, tail, and turn functions. For additional side markers you would need to add the lights separately. However the tail lights, when on, can be seen on the sides of the lights since the lens wraps around.
