Using Swagman XTC2 # S64670 in Front Mount Receiver on 2006 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have a 2006 chev Silverado with a front mount receiver and would like to use the XTC 2 with it. What is the vertical distance from the hitch pin to the bottom of the platform when it is deployed? What is the horizontal distance from the hitch pin to the first wheel support?

The angled shank of the Swagman XTC2 # S64670 will raise the platform up by 3 inches from the top of the receiver to the bottom of the platform. When deployed, the wheel trays will measure 8 inches laterally from the hitch pin hole in the shank.

To determine if you will have sufficient visibility with the rack installed, add about 4 inches to the height of your bikes, and measure that distance upward from the top of the front receiver. You should also determine if the width of your bikes will interfere with the headlights at the height they will be carried.
