Small Diameter Jack Caster Wheel Needed to Raise Rear of Horse Trailer

Question:

I need a smaller wheel on the jack. When Im on an uneven surface it will sometimes drag because my trailer sits so low, even though its cranked all the way up. Its a 6 in wheel on it. I pull a horse trailer and the jack is a 2000 LB. Any suggestions?

I have looked through the various jack casters we offer, and a 6 inch diameter wheel is the smallest one that is offered.

It sounds to me as if you need a jack that has a shorter distance between the bottom of the mount and the bottom of the outer tube, in order to bring up the rear of your trailer. (See photo.)

Since your jack is most likely an A-frame mount, the Pro Series # PS1401000303 jack has the lowest mount height of any of our 2000 lb jacks at about 3-1/4 inches. If you do not have an A-frame mount jack, let me know and I can make some other suggestions. The jack does not include a footplate like part # PS1400700340 or caster, part # PS1400750340.
