Why is Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack Not Compatible with a Flat Towed Vehicle
Question:
We like to use this item on our car that we flat but noticed hat it is not suited for. May require ask why? Do you have somethings similar? We like the tilt function. Thanks

Some bike rack manufacturers (like Hollywood Racks) say that the bike rack experiences different enough forces when the vehicle is being flat towed that it could compromise the integrity of the rack itself so they don't recommend using it in that manner.
With that being said, I recommend using the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR instead. This has a lot of the same features as the Curt # C18085 that you were looking at, but it uses clamps as opposed to hooks to secure the bikes. The RV Rider does have the tilting function that you're looking for as well.
