Question:
What software/firmware is installed with this brake controller? Is this unit come with the latest installed? I know if I buy this directly from Redarc it comes with the latest. Thanks

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR doesn't disclose their hardware/software upgrades. They simply have the Tow-Pro Elite as an upgrade from the Tow-Pro Classic. It comes with the manufacturers most recent upgrades as this braking system is their most recent option and it is my personal favorite out of everything we carry. It has adjustability that others do not, has a clean look, LED codes, and many mounting location options. We get regular shipments from the manufacturer so we always have the same products as the manufacturer and it has their latest technology.
When wiring this to your 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser, I recommend using the wiring harness # 3040-P and # 331-TPH-017 to go with your factory 7-way or using the # ETBC7 to hardwire it.
