Recommended Mechanical Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a 2018 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado I tow a rv trailer Cherokee alpha wolf approx 8,500 lbs truck is rated to tow 9,300 lbs. when towing I get a lot bouncing especially on rougher roads. I have a ez-lift recurve 3 sway and weight distribution hitch. When the rv is connected to the truck it does sit level. My question is will the leaf helper springs reduce the bouncing and help to provide a smoother ride.

It sounds like your weight distribution system is working well and you just need some suspension support on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. I don't recommend the leaf springs you referenced but rather the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS54FR. This is a mechanical system like the leaf spring system you referenced but this system allows you to fine tune adjust your ride and once set to your desired feel leave it alone as you will only engage the system when it is needed allowing your factory suspension to operate as designed until help is needed.

The SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit - OEM Leaf Springs Above Axle # SSA1MTKT is not a fit for your truck. The closest option is the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA28 which is like adding another leaf spring to your suspension. There isn't anything wrong with that but it doesn't give you any adjustment at all. The # RAS54FR is an adjustable system for you to get the best mechanical fit and it will keep you from wheel hop which is what it sounds like might be happening on your truck. The air bag systems will be great for load leveling and adjustment but won't help with axle wrap or wheel hop. Axle wrap is what leads to wheel hop and tires losing their grip on the road, causing jarring as well as up and down movement. For what you described I don't think a load leveling system is what you need but rather a mechanical leaf spring enhancement system.
