Will the Spare Tire Cover Mount Without Removing the Thule Spare Me Mounting Plate on a 2009 RAV4
Question:
Will the tire cover go back on after you put the adapter on? Or do you have to remove the tire and go through the process every time? I have a 2009 Toyota Rav 4. Thank you!

Yes, you can attach your spare tire cover without having to remove the spare tire and mounting plate each time you remove the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack, # TH963PRO, from the back of your 2009 Toyota RAV4.
According to my contact at Thule, the shaft from the mounting plate that mounts behind the spare does not protrude past the outer edge of the tire so it will not interfere with your spare tire cover when you do not want the bike rack mounted on your vehicle.
