Best and Easiest Way to Transport Bikes with 2019 Honda Pilot

Question:

Honda Pilot 2019 Rack on Roof..... We have expensive bicycles that don’t fit inside our new car! Can’t believe it! Two inches too short, so we need suggestions on how to get the bicycles on/off the roof “Safely”. Can you recommend a brand of step-ladder? We thought of rack on the back of the Honda Pilot, but we’ve read frames can touch and rub. No way that can be acceptable. Thanks a million

The easiest, most secure, and least likely to damage the vehicle option for a bike rack is a hitch rack like the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider part # HR200Z. Roof rack bike racks can be pretty hard to load and unload and put the bikes in more harms way that at a hitch. Especially if you have a garage you'd pull the vehicle into...

Hitch racks are very secure and don't touch anything on the body of the vehicle plus are much more cost effective. You'd need a hitch installed on your vehicle like the Curt Class III part # C13146 and you'd be set. I attached a review video for the bike rack I mentioned on a similar 2019 Honda Pilot as well.
