Suspension Enhancement for a 2006 Honda Pilot with a Strut in the Center of the Coil Spring
Question:
I have a 2006 Honda Pilot and was going to get the F4179. I looked under, just to make sure I can do it and I see a strut trough the coil spring. How could this possibly work? What am I missing?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Firestone and found out that some models of the 2006 Honda Pilot came with that strut while others did not. Since yours has it you cannot use the Coil-Rite springs # F4179.
Since you have that strut, the only suspension enhancement option that will work are SuperSprings Coil SumoSprings, # CSS-1125R. These springs fit in the gaps of the coil spring. I have included a link to the installation details for you.
