What Adapter to Use With RedArc Tow Pro Classic on 2020 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500

Question:

Redarc Tow-Pro Classic Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Preset Item # 331-EBRHV2 What do I need to make this work on my 2020 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500? Is there a main unit wire that comes with the green plug for use in the MBS 3500? Is there a longer than 3foot RJ45 Remote Head Cable for this?

It sounds like you're asking about an available adapter plug to install the RedArc Tow-Pro Classic # 331-EBRHV2, and as long as it came with the factory towing package you can use the # 3063-P to install this brake controller. If your 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 did not come with the factory towing package, the Tow-Pro Classic will need to be hardwired in.

Additionally, the RJ45 cable only is available in the 3ft length that comes with the unit. This is a standard RJ45 network cable and you can locally source a longer one if you like, but Redarc recommends adding a ferrite bead on the end of the cable near the control unit to prevent radio interference (RFI) if a longer cable is used; so you will need to take that into consideration.

If your Sprinter does not have the factory towing package and you need to add trailer wiring, you'll want to start with the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236, which will tee into the tail lights on your van. From there, you'll need to use the # ETBC7 to add a 7-way connector for your trailer.

I've linked some installation and review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
