Troubleshooting Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Not Sending Power on the Blue Wire
Question:
I checked all the wiring for blue trailer brake wire going to the controller and everything works except my trailer brakes. I check all fuses and everything is good. The problem is Im not getting any power going to blue pin connection of the factory plug in under the driverside dash. Does the brake controller supply the power to the pin then to trailer hitch? Do I need a new brake controller?

That is correct, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 will send power along the blue wire out to the 7-Way on your pickup to activate your trailer brakes. If you cut and test the blue wire about 6" back from the controller and you don't get anything when you use the manual override then you'll want to check the black wire to make sure that the controller is receiving power. If it is then the controller will need to be replaced. If it isn't then that would be the issue as the controller itself isn't getting power.
If your controller sends power with the manual override but not when you push the brake pedal (while moving as it has the "motion" sensor) then you'll want to check the red wire to make sure that it is getting power when you push the brake pedal.
Let me know if you're still having issues and I can help you troubleshoot further.
