Is JR Products 2-Stage Automatic Changeover Regulator a Good Replacement for Fairview GR-9984

Question:

Hi, need to replace my Fairview low pressure 2-stage auto changeover regular GR-9984. It is 6 1/4 inches in height. Their current product reviews lean me away from a repurchase. The JR Product you carry looks nice, has good reviews but is a bit more expensive. Is the regulator - part # 37207-31525 a good replacement? Are the technical specifications between both regulators a safe and reasonable match? My paper work does not give me the Capacity BTU/hr propane for service and reserve. I only have the Fairview regular model. There is no other specifications printed on the regulator casting. The regulator was used on my 2007 ALINER Classic. Propane using components Three burner stove, water heater and furnace. Thank you for your help.

A lot of propane regulators carry similar specs and are pretty comparable when it comes to quality. JR Products does a great job at pairing up good quality with a cost-effective product like the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525.

I reached out to my contact at JR Products who let me know that this regulator is rated for 262,500 Btu so it is on par with the Fairview regulator GR-9984 that you're looking at.

One other thing you might need is the U-Post bracket # 37207-30405 because this regulator has bolt holes that measure 1" apart on center. If your current bracket already has this measurement though then you'll be good to go!
