Best Option to Provide More Turning Radius on a 2015 Ford F350 Super Duty Pulling a 5th Wheel

Question:

We have a Reese Sidewinder that we used on our 2003 Sunnybrook fifth wheel for several years. It is part #SW16K and worked great. We have purchased a 2020 Reflection 337RLS fifth wheel and I am weighing my alternatives to get more turning radius as I pull it with a 2015 F350 SRW shortbed truck with the Ford puck system. I believe all I need to use the current Sidewinder is to replace the turret maybe. Is that possible and what part number do I need? Another option is to upgrade to the Airborne Sidewinder pinbox. Which part number do I need for this option? My third option is to leave the pinbox alone and go with the Demco Autoslider. Whatever advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

We have a solution for this but just replacing the turret is not going to give you the extra space you are looking for.

If you are looking to just replace your pin box I recommend Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 16,000 lbs Item # RP61412. This pin box gives you a little extra space.

Out of these options I most recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 18K Item # DM8550024. This gives you the extra space you need when turning the Ford F350 Super Duty with 14" of travel. It also has the automatic system so you don't have to get out of the vehicle and pull any levers to work the slide feature.
