Recovery Winch and Accessories for 2012 Chevy Silverado
Question:
Need a winch that can pull a truck, snowmobile, ATV and car out of a stuck position. Does this winch need to be connected to a vehicle? Would like to have this winch very portable so can be used to lift things, pull a car onto a trailer and other uses. Is there one available that could run off DC and AC? Is there a winch out there that could even be disconnected from a vehicle and then secured onto a strong, stationary object then used to pull things? Thanks.

The Superwinch Talon you mentioned, part # SW1695200 would do the trick for recovering a stuck truck, snowmobile, ATV or car. We offer winch mounts like part # C31010 that can be connected to the vehicle via a front receiver like part # 65052 for your 1500 series. The winch can be mounted directly to a trailer as well, but if the winch is mounted independently of the vehicle or the trailer, it will be up to you to devise a mount and rig up a power supply.
I would also recommend the Deluxe # SW2224 winch accessory kit.
We do not offer a recovery winch that will run on both AC and DC power.
