1994 Chrysler Town & Country Van Trailer Hitch and Wiring Option

Question:

For the Curt brand, etrailer.com recommends trailer hitch part #C13037 for my 1994 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. I have 2 questions: 1 Part description notes this hitch doesnt accommodate an undercarriage-mounted full-size spare tire - do you sell a Curt model that will, or have some sort of an adaptor available? 2 Part description states this is a 2inch hitch. For my towing-only purposes and need, is it possible to get it with a 1-1/4inch hitch instead? I understand an adaptor is available, but it isnt designed for towing.

We only have the one hitch available for your 1994 Chrysler Town and Country and that's the Curt # C13037 which has a 2 inch opening and does not allow a full size spare to fit with it. So your best option is this hitch which most ball mounts and accessories are made for this size so in that regard it will work great. You'd want to track down a mini spare.

Then for trailer wiring the # 118323 is a fit that will install easily and is very reliable.

If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level..
