How Long is the Shank of the Curt Rebellion Cushioned Ball Mount
Question:
Do they make this in a longer shank so you can open the tailgate on the truck and not hit the top of the jack by getting the truck a little further away from the tongue of the trailer?

I may have a solution for you, but unfortunately there is not a longer shank available for any of the cushioned hitches that we have available. The Curt Rebellion # C45949 has 7-7/8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the alignment holes. If you're ok with not using a cushioned ball mount you can use something like the Pro Series Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 5-7/8" Drop, 4-5/8" Rise - 14K # 63071 which has 12-1/16" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball.
If you can tell me how much clearance you need I might be able to find something that would work better.
