Hitch Extender With Drop to Lower Bike Rack

Question:

I’m looking for a hitch extension for my Jeep so that I can have enough clearance with my Bike rack. Only has to hold the rack and 2 e-bikes about 40 lbs each. Looking for about an 8” extension with about 6.5” drop. I currently have a 2 “ receiver with currently a 12” straight extension. Want to pull it closer to the Jeep and it lower. Also looking for something to minimize the wobble between the receiver and the extension. The Thule T2 will insure the rack stays tight into the extension.

To get a hitch extender that will add drop you'll need to go with a dual-hitch adapter. For that I recommend the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544.

This is the best option to give you close to the extension and drop you are looking for, and on top of that it comes with an integrated anti-rattle system so it is easily the best option. Just keep in mind any type of adapter reduces the capacity of your trailer hitch, including tongue weight, by 50 percent.

I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544.
