Solution for Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer with 2015 Ram with Square Gooseneck Hole in Bed

Question:

Just bought 2015 Ram tradesman with 6.7 diesel and 8 foot bed. It is set up in back with a square hole to tow a gooseneck. I need to know best choice to use square hole for 5th wheel hitch. Wondering if there is any drilling required? I have a regular 5th Wheel Hitch but hate to drill if not needed

Since the hole for the gooseneck ball is square that would mean you have an aftermarket gooseneck hitch installed. Since it is square you might be in luck though. If you get under the truck bed and the hitch is painted gray like the B and W gooseneck part # BWGNRK1384 you can install a Companion hitch like part # BWRVK3500 and you'd have a really great hitch option. If you see that it's a different brand hitch let me know and maybe an adapter like part # CAB-C5G would be your best option.

Actually the order was BWRVK3500-5. What does the -5 mean AND is that the right one for my vehicle??

Yes, as long as you have a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch installed on your truck, the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W will work perfectly. The "-5W" is just a way we organize the model on our site. It is exactly the same as the part # BWRVK3500 mentioned above.
