Stand Up Paddleboard SUP Compatibility With The eTrailer J Style Kayak Carrier

Hello Etrailer, I am interested in purchasing the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier part # e98878 for transporting SUPs. 1. Will this work for SUPs? 2. What are the dimensions of carrier? I am interested in putting two sets on my roof but need to know length of base to know if 2 carriers will fit across the length of roof rack.

Hello there, I wanted to let you know I reached out to multiple people to check this for you.

To answer your question(s):

1. No, Part # e98878 is not compatible with SUPs.

2. The dimensions of the carrier are as follows:
Width Folded Open: 31"
Width Folded Closed: 19"
Width Carrying Kayak: 21"
Height of Carrier When Carrying Kayak: 19"

Since you are looking to transport only SUPs, the Lockrack Stand-Up Paddle Board Carrier Part # LR54FR will be great for you!

This allows you to carry two SUPs without the need for two carriers. Meaning, the width will not be an issue on your roof when loading two boards. The Lockrack installs basically the same as our kayak carrier as it simply wraps under the crossbar, so not much difference there.
