How to Determine Correct Pin Box Replacement Without Model Number
Question:
are you able to determine which sidewinder we need with the vin number of the trailer? There is no id placard on our current pin box

Expert Reply:
If you cannot locate the OEM pin box manufacturer's name and model number of your trailer's 5th wheel king pin box, you can measure it to find a correct replacement. I've attached a link to our Help Article on this subject for you at the bottom of the page.
Although we cannot determine which Sidewinder you need based on the VIN of your trailer, you can try giving the trailer manufacturer a call. They should be able to quickly tell you which model pin box is on your trailer by running the VIN.
