How to Determine the Bolt Pattern on a Trailer Wheel for Ultra-Fab Bumper Mount Spare Tire Carrier

Question:

Your description of the tires this mount will accept mentioned something about a 5 on 5 wheel and that it would not fit. How can I tell if I have a 5 on 5? I have a 2006 Keystone 25foot trailer. Thanks.

The 5 on 5 wheel that you are referring to is a wheel that has 5 bolt holes for lug nut studs and a 5 inch diameter bolt circle. A 5 on 5 bolt pattern is not a common bolt pattern for trailer wheels. You can do some measuring to determine the bolt pattern of your wheel.

If you have 5 bolt holes on your wheel, then you can measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the adjacent bolt hole. If this measurement is 3 inches, then you have a 5 on 5 wheel. If this measurement is 2-5/8 inches, then you have a 5 on 4-1/2. If you have an even number of bolt holes like 6 or 8, then you can measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it to get your bolt circle diameter. Check out the photo that I attached that shows examples of bolt patterns.

I also attached an article that explains how to find the bolt pattern on your wheel. If you have a wheel with 5, 6 or 8 bolt holes and your bolt pattern is not 5 on 5, then the Ultra-Fab Bumper Mount Spare Tire Carrier, # UF15-954730, will work well for you.
