Is Tekonsha 7-Way Compatible With Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller in 2014 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi, Im looking for a brake controller for my 2014 Toyota Highlander SE. I want to use the Redarc Tow Pro Elite 331-EBRH-ACCV2 with the Tekonsha 7 way wiring harness 22119. Are they easily compatible? Does the Tekonsha harness have everything I need even if my vehicle does not have the factory tow package? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Since the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness - 7-Way # 22119 gives you a complete 7-way on your 2014 Toyota Highlander, it is absolutely compatible with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR.
The brake controller adapter that comes with the 7-way will still require you to hardwire in the Tow-Pro Elite, though it is such a good brake controller that is easy to use and doesn't take up space in the cab of your Highlander it is still worth it.
The other option to add a 7-way to your '14 Highlander to use the Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR is to add the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118449 with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
I've added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
