Troubleshooting Motorhome Air Brake Valve for Inflating Quad Tires

Question:

I have a Diesel motorhome with fittings up under the front bumper for the tow truck vehicle to put air in the system to release the brakes. Is this the right fitting to connect into the tow air fittings. From what I can see it looks like it is screw thread fitting I want to buy a fitting to connect to the tow fitting to 1/4 npt to use for air up quad tires 5 lbs at the desert Thank you

Air tow fittings use a quick release not a threaded fitting like you referenced. You can see these on the Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes - Proportional # SM99243 which is the braking system you would use in the flat towed vehicle. If you wanted to air up your quad tires using those valves, you would need the Reducer for Bulldog Winch Air Tank - 1/4" NPT Male to 3/8" NPT Female # BDW42038 and then the Quick Connect Coupler for Bulldog Winch Air Tank Hose - 3/8" NPT - Male # BDW42039.

You can then use a hose and valve stem adapter from a local home improvement store in the length you desire.

If you determine you don't want to mess with all of that, you can simply use the Goodyear Dual Flow Tire Inflator # GY64FR.
