Will Thule Passage 3 Trunk-Mount Bike Rack for 2015 Chevy Equinox Allow Rear Hatch to Open

Will I be able to open the lift gate of my 2015 Chevy Equinox with the Thule Passage 3 installed without any bikes loaded, of course?

When it comes to trunk-mounted bike racks, none of them allow the rear hatch to open up with the rack on, including the Thule Passage 3-Bike Carrier # TH911XT.

So for any of these racks you will need to remove them before opening up the hatch of your 2015 Chevy Equinox. Additionally, please note that when using any hanging rack you'll need Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO if your bike is dual-suspension, has a step-through frame or you want to carry a small children's bike. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.
