The Bestop Upper Door Sliders, # B5178715, will work with the hard top on your 1998 Jeep Wrangler. The only issue that you may run into with these upper door sliders is that the seals do not completely line up when used with a hard top. They were specifically designed to work with soft tops, but they will shut without issue and perform all other functions normally.
