How to Remove the Plastic Cap to Insert the Lock Core on the Thule T2 Bike Rack TH916XTR

Question:

Just purchased TH9034XTS from Etrailer primarily because of the integrated locking system on the Locking Ratchet Arm Assembly. Also ordered the 6pk of Thule locks. When looking at the plastic ratcheting arm handle, there appears to be molded plastic in the place of where the locks are to be ed. It does not appear that this plastic is to be punched out to install the locks nor do the instructions address the issue of installing lock cylinders into the ratcheting arms. Since one of the main features driving my purchase of this bike rack was the locking ratchet arm assembly I want to install the locks into the arm to keep someone from being able to depress the button. Please advise how these locks are to be properly installed on the ratchet arm handle. Please refer to the Etrailer video on the 916XTR entitled Thule T2 Platform Style Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Review - Video and within the first minute of the video you will see the plastic handles on the ratcheting arm with a lock ed into the handle just below the E in the Thule name on the handle. It is that hole that the lock is in that is currently covered by plastic. Thanks!

Thank you for your purchase. There is a small gap between the plastic cap and the outer edge of the lock core hole that is just large enough to allow you to insert a small, flat tool such as a flat head screw driver. Once you have the tool inserted, you will pry upward forcing the cap out.

Check out the video that I posted for you showing you how to remove the plastic cap and insert the lock core.
